Lake Superior Circle Tour
July 14 - July 21
Take a trek into the UP and then circumnavigate Lake Superior. Tentative plans are for an 8-day trip, with each day's ride to be between 220 and 290 miles with plenty of stops at scenic vistas to admire the natural beauty of the area round Lake Superior. A counterclockwise tour, across the Big Mac to St. Ignace, then to Sault Ste Marie and into Canada. Then following 17 around to Thunder Bay, pick up 61 into Duluth. Zigzag our way across the Upper to visit Copper Harbor, Kitch-Iti-Kipi Springs and Tahquamenon Falls before heading back across the bridge to follow the coastline down to Petosky before heading home.
