The Longest Day – 2025
A long-standing tradition of the TCD is to enjoy the extended daylight hours by riding the northwest area of the lower peninsula. A three-day event, most ride up on Friday, tour the area on Saturday and head home on Sunday. A few extend the weekend in either direction to further enjoy the beautiful scenery around both sides of Grand Traverse Bay. The Longest Day is a good event for both road riders and ADVers, as both road routes and ADV routes are planned and ridden. Good for campers and non-campers, the campers stay at either the Interlochen State Park or Cycle Moore Campground while the non-campers tend to bed down at The Interlochen Motel or another local hotel.
Meet up is Friday, June 23 at Uncle John's Cider Mill on US-127. Group departure times will depend on your ride route preference to Interlochen: Sand Trail Riders depart at 10:00 am; Fire Road Riders depart at 10:15 am; and Road Riders depart at 10:30 am. Please get to Uncle John's in time to do any desired shopping and/or eating before your departure time. All routes (Road and ADV, Friday & Saturday) are posted in the Route Library. For those wishing to meet in Evart at start of Friday's ADV sections, please be at the Wesco Gas Station/Subway (660 W 7th St, Evart) at 11:30 am.
