Edmund Fitzgerald Ride
November 1, 2024 - November 3, 2024

Annual November Club Ride to end the season. Most stay at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort, an acceptable hotel with full restaurant and bar. Hardcore campers pitch their tents at the Tawas Point State Park. Ride up will be on Friday and there is a paved road ride on Saturday. Saturday night will include the reading of the names of those lost on Nov. 10, 1972 sinking of the ore freighter Edmund Fitzgerald. Ride home on Sunday. Historically a well-attended event and annual favorite of the TCD.

Meet Up: Friday Nov. 1st at Alex's Market & Grill, 4707 White Lake Rd in Clarkston (just north of Andersonville Rd.) at 10:30 am. 137 Miles from Alex's to East Tawas. Lunch stop at Krzysiak's House Restaurant in Bay City.
Saturday Morning Ride: 116 Miles - Mostly through the Huron National Forest, with a stop for lunch at the Cedar Travern & Grill in Lupton.
Saturday Afternoon Ride: 95 Miles - From lunch, a gas stop, a stop at Sherri's Candies, back into the Huron National Forest, circumnavigate the Cooke Dam Pond and the Foote Dam Pond with a stop at the Foote Hydroelectric Plant before returning to East Tawas.
Sunday: 138 Miles - Ride Home with a stop at Wilson's Cheese Shoppe in Pinconning and Lunch at the Cork Pine Eatery and Saloon in Vassar before returning to Alex's Market & Grill.
