Rode to Maumee yesterday and foolishly did the west track, the one that is deep, soft sand. OMG, barely made it out intact. Dropped 3 times, putted along and exhausted when done. Didn’t even do the east track, which I understand is a little easier with less sand. Kudos to anyone who can ride a boxer GS in that stuff. Seemed like the longest straight was 50 feet and sharp turns everywhere. I couldn’t get the speed up to stay on top if the sand. I have a lot to learn. Please tell me Michigan trails are not as deep, soft or sharply winding.
