SUMMARY:The Detroit Urban Tour
DESCRIPTION:Sunday Morning Ride through Detroit to see its landmarks and progress toward returning to glory.  Mexican Town\, Downriver\, the Gordie Howe Bridge\, Riverfront Parks\, Belle Isle\, Indian Village\, Motown and more.  Ride will once again start at Los Galane's in Mexican Town and end at the Motor City Brewery for a sandwich or pizza lunch.  This ride is a long time TCD favorite and is usually very well attended. \nMeet up is usually 10:00 am in the parking lot behind Los Galane's Restaurant\, 3362 Bagley Ave in Detroit. Our route is 35 miles\, covering the new Gordie Howe Bridge\, the revitalized riverfront\, Belle Isle\, the Packard Plant and the Motown Museum\, ending at the Motor City Brewery.   A bathroom/snack stop is planned on Belle Isle. \nArrive early at Los Galane's to grab some fresh pastry from La Gloria Bakery\, across the street. \nDouble check the TCD website forums for confirmation of time and location of meet up spot.

SUMMARY:Fall Color Tour
DESCRIPTION:It's hard to beat the spectacular colors displayed as fall comes to the Leelanau Peninsula\, so the TCD holds an annual ride to take them in.  Campers stay at Cycle-Moore Campground\, non-campers snuggle in at the Interlochen Motel or any of the numerous hotels\, cabins or B&Bs in the Interlochen area.  Both ADV and Road routes are planned and lead.

SUMMARY:Edmund Fitzgerald Ride
DESCRIPTION:Annual November Club Ride to end the season. Most stay at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort\, an acceptable hotel with full restaurant and bar.  Hardcore campers pitch their tents at the Tawas Point State Park.  Ride up will be on Friday and there is a paved road ride on Saturday.  Saturday night will include the reading of the names of those lost on Nov. 10\, 1972 sinking of the ore freighter Edmund Fitzgerald.  Ride home on Sunday.  Historically a well-attended event and annual favorite of the TCD. \n2026 details coming soon - we expect to reserve a discounted block of rooms at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort. \nFor reference\, 2024 details: \nDiscounted rooms for TCD members at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort for Nov. 1st & 2nd - $139 for bayside and $125 for a city side room.  Call Sheryl Firestone at the resort\, (989) 362-8600 ext. 303 to reserve your room. \nMeet Up: Friday Nov. 1st at Alex's Market & Grill\, 4707 White Lake Rd in Clarkston (just north of Andersonville Rd.) at 10:30 am.  137 Miles from Alex's to East Tawas. Lunch stop at Krzysiak's House Restaurant in Bay City. \nSaturday Morning Ride: 116 Miles - Mostly through the Huron National Forest\, with a stop for lunch at the Cedar Travern & Grill in Lupton. \nSaturday Afternoon Ride: 95 Miles - From lunch\, a gas stop\, a stop at Sherri's Candies\, back into the Huron National Forest\, circumnavigate the Cooke Dam Pond and the Foote Dam Pond with a stop at the Foote Hydroelectric Plant before returning to East Tawas. \nSunday: 138 Miles - Ride Home with a stop at Wilson's Cheese Shoppe in Pinconning and Lunch at the Cork Pine Eatery and Saloon in Vassar before returning to Alex's Market & Grill. \nRoutes are posted in the Route Library.  Route was updated on 10/09 with the addition of Tracks (no change to routes).
