TCDers hit the track!

BMW MC SEM and BMW MC GR sponsored another track day at Grattan Raceway yesterday, Monday May 23. Virtually perfect weather day for a track day - clear sky, lots of sun, warm (maybe even a little too warm by the afternoon!) and a dry, sticky track.

TCDers Dave DeCook, Rick Griffith, Chuck Lapierre, Dave Peck and yours truly showed up for a day of fun on the always interesting Grattan race course. Dave DeCook and Dave Peck were there for the first time, joining in with a very sizable novice group of first timers and limited track experience riders. Chuck, Rick and I have all done a number of track days previously. I managed to head trackside and grab some photos.

Track days are a great way to improve your skills and build your riding confidence in a safe, controlled environment. If you haven't done one before you ought to give it consideration. No need to be intimidated - if it's your first time on a track you'll be in the novices group, riding under the tutelage of an instructor who will help you learn the track and riding techniques.
