Time for another fun filled geezer get together.  Java House in South Lyon at 10:00 AM on Wed. March 14.  I will buy a coffee for the first person who posts on the TCD forum why this day is called Pi day (you must also show up for the geezer meeting and the decision of the judges is final).

GPS and Basecamp questions answered or lied about and  you can even discuss what is the best oil for your BMW.

Although I’m ineligible because I have to be in the office.  The coffee happens to be free there, so I’ll just pretend it’s from you on Wednesday morning anyway.

Technically Mike failed to answer your question (all he did was factor out the value of Pi) so I will attempt to answer.

Pi Day is observed on March 14 since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π. (March 14 or 3/14).

    (Cream & 2 sugars)   😉

OK Rick you get the coffee if you show up.  Marina had maybe the best answer, but she responded via email and she is stuck in Arizona suffering oppressive temperatures and blazing sunshine.
