    Hello there,

What’s the best (aka easiest) way to add coolant to a 1200gs? Do I have to remove all the fairings on the right hand side, or is there a better way? I see what the tank looks like but don’t see how to get to the lid to add coolant. I have the reprom, and the Haynes book and they pretty much both say add coolant if needed, with no instructions.

Also, for the 50/50 mix what type of water am I supposed to use?

    Thank you!

Usually a 50/50 mix comes already pre-mixed, so you just pour it in.

Not sure on how to access the tank since I don’t have a LC R1200GS.

    It’s a 5 minute job.

Look top right on your fairing. Remove screw, remove cover, open cap, add coolant and you are done. Page 122 in the GSA manual. Happy to help if you are close to Rochester.  Stop by at any time.
